Work continues on Kirk Road water tank

Employees with CB & amp;I Constructors Inc., whose corporate headquarters are in the Netherlands, continue working on the 1.5-million-gallon water tank on Kirk Road, Austintown. Youngstown hired the company last year for $2.8 million. The tank will increase water storage and pressure for city water department customers in Austintown, Canfield and Jackson townships. It also will allow Youngstown to expand its water service to the southwest. Funding came from the state Issue 2 public works fund and a low-interest loan from Ohio Water Development Authority. The tank should be completed by the end of this year or in early 2007, city officials said.
