RIB TICKLER: I got an amusing e-mail from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee the other day.
"Nobody knows how untrustworthy the Republicans are better than the people of Ohio," says the DCCC e-mail aboutstate Sen. Charlie Wilson's write-in campaign in Tuesday's Democratic primary for the 6th Congressional District.
"Either the Republicans will manage to sneak off with another district helping them to protect their stranglehold on power or Democrats will take one more step toward taking the majority in the House and putting an enormous check on President Bush's reckless abuses of power," it continues.
If Ohioans know best about untrustworthy Republicans, why do the state's voters keep electing them? And how does electing Wilson to replace the Democrat who holds the 6th District seat translate into the party taking "one more step toward taking the majority in the House?"
