Lowellville's six-run rally in fourth inning sinks Wilson

LOWELLVILLE -- Despite producing just four hits, the Lowellville High baseball team rallied from a 6-2 deficit Thursday to defeat Wilson, 9-7.
The Rockets scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take charge.
Justin Macella (4-1) , who came on in relief in the third inning got the win while Jared Donatella earned a save.
Donatelli drove in two runs to spark the Rockets (10-6).
Ursuline 8, Springfield 4
STRUTHERS -- Who's to blame for eight hit-by-pitch incidents and six walks?
Who else? The game's three pitchers.
In the end, however, Ross Revella's two-run double in a five-run fifth inning carried Ursuline (12-4) to victory.
Springfield had five of its six hits in the first inning as the Tigers batted around to take a 4-0 lead.
Andy Richey's single drove in Dane Dobson from second base, then Mike Kampfer's double knocked in Richey.
Brian Visingardi's groundout scored John Houser before Travis Richey's single tallied Kampfer to give Springfield (13-4) four runs.
Ursuline's first two batters were hit by pitches and walked before the offense kicked in for score the Irish' first run. Ursuline added another run in the fourth innings, but still trailed, 4-2.
Joe Wielbruda's single also scored two runs.
The Irish' totals in the inning were five runs, two hits, one runner left, two walks and a hit batsman.
Winning pitcher Adam Sepesy (3-1) recorded six strikeouts.
Warren JFK 19, Beaver Local 3
LISBON -- The Eagles broke open the Steel Valley Conference game when they sent 19 batters to the plate to score 14 runs in the fifth inning.
Stefan Aulizio hit a grand slam and Mark Rossi a two-run shot.
Josh Swipas hit a single and double in the big inning. Everyone in the starting lineup had a least one hit.
Scott Difford hit a double and two singles and scored twice for the Eagles.
Beaver Local slipped to 4-13 and 2-3.
Western Reserve 10,Mineral Ridge 2
BERLIN CENTER -- John Porterfield's three hits included a home run and double for the Blue Devils (10-8, 7-4 Inter-County League).
Dave Drevna's two hits included a homer and Ryan Lude's two hits included a double. Also with two hits were Jeff Zatchok and Dave Snowden.
Winning pitcher Brandon Moherman (2-2) struck out nine batters.
For the Rams, Tom Walton homered.
South Range 9, Sebring 2
SEBRING -- Robert Bensinger scattered six hits and pitched South Range past Sebring.
Steve Bensinger, Tom DeChellis, Chris Gause and Isaac Melnick all had two hits for the Raiders (6-12, 3-5 ICL).
DeChellis had a triple and drove in four runs while Gause added a double.
N.C. Hoover 4, Boardman 2
CANTON -- Two errors in the fifth inning helped Hoover (13-3) register two runs to take the lead.
Anthony Porter had three hits and Joe Iacobucci and Dom Silvestri added two apiece for Boardman (14-6). Porter's hitting produced two RBIs.
Boardman's Kevin Sikora gave up just one earned run in going the distance.
Massillon Perry 6, Austintown Fitch 0
AUSTINTOWN -- Zack Messer pitched a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts and no walks for Massillon Perry in a Federal League game.
Messer also had a double and single while Ryan Stutter added two singles and one RBI and Mike Foch and Aaron Thompson each had two singles for Perry (11-4, 5-2).
Fitch is 12-4 and 3-2.
Poland 18, Struthers 4
POLAND -- Jason Simons (2-0) struck out five batters to lead the Bulldogs (14-3, 6-2 Metro Athletic Conference).
Matt Pitzulo's three hits included a three-run homer. Marc Turnbull hit a grand slam while Mike Zubesa's three hits included two doubles. Jim Pasquine also had three hits.
For Struthers, Kris Kadvan's two hits included a homer. Zach Jones' three hits included a double.
East Liverpool 6, Campbell 4
EAST LIVERPOOL -- East Liverpool (5-12, 1-6 MAC) made the most of five hits as it scored all of its runs in the first four innings.
Ronnie McQueen hit a home run and single for the Red Devils (4-10, 2-5). Richie Tisone and Brian Groh each hit a pair of singles.
Girard 10, Liberty 0
GIRARD -- Brett Dutton's three-run homer and two-run double drove in five runners for the Indians (10-6. 6-3 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
Kevin Nastase's two hits included a triple. Also with two hits were Eric Stevens, Brett Cubellis and R.J. Trimbur.
Stevens was the winning pitcher, tossing a three-hitter over six innings. He struck out four Leopards and walked one.
For Liberty, Sam Barker had two hits.
Lakeview 14, Newton Falls 3
NEWTON FALLS -- Jeff Musick's three hits included a homer and double for the Bulldogs (7-9, 5-4 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
Winning pitcher Josh Lawrence also homered and doubled to drive in three runs. Lawrence struck out four batters and walked one.
Josh Daniels doubled and had three RBIs.
Greg Leigh had two hits for the Tigers (6-9, 3-7).
Crestview 10, Leetonia 1
LEETONIA -- Greg Brown and last-inning reliever Cory Hill combined to pitch a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts for Crestview in a Tri-County League game.
Brown had 11 strikeouts; Hill three.
Brown also had three singles and two RBIs while Craig Schmidt had a double, two singles and three RBIs to lead Crestview (11-4 and 6-4 TCL).
Adam Thompson two singles and two RBIs while Andy Walton two singles and one RBI to also bolster Crestview.
West Branch 6, Carrollton 4
CARROLLTON -- Tyler Newhart pitched an eight-hitter with nine strikeouts and five walks for West Branch in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference game
Newhart bested Matt Bryan who pitched a 10-hitter with six strikeouts with one walk
Jarroid Harris had two singles and two RBIs and Josh Winans a single and two RBIs to lead West Branch (13-5, 5-5) while Alex French two singles.
Cotton Newell slugged a homer and two singles to lead Carrollton (9-3).
