YOUNGSTOWN -- Police captured Joseph Harris and three teenage boys after a holdup at the Mahoning Wine Shop.
Harris, 18, of Wesley Avenue, was arraigned Thursday in municipal court on a charge of aggravated robbery. Bond was set at $30,000, and a preliminary hearing is May 5.
These boys were taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center to face charges of aggravated robbery:
Brandon D. Jones, 17, of Mabel Street.
Benjamine A. Jones, 16, same address.
Jordan J. Jackson, 16, of Eddie Street.
Police were sent to the wine shop at 1681 Mahoning Ave. around 5 p.m. Wednesday. Officers learned that two people had fled the store and jumped into a Chevrolet Lumina parked nearby on South Lakeview Avenue.
Police followed the Lumina to the Salt Springs Road area, where it stopped. The driver and front-seat passenger, who police identified as Brandon and Benjamine Jones, were arrested there. The back seat passengers ran and were later caught by police.
Police said they found $408 under a recreational vehicle where Jackson ran to hide. Harris was found on North Belle Vista Avenue on the roof of a chapel, reports show.
Two store employees said two men, their faces covered, entered the business, and one pointed a gun and demanded money. A BB gun was found in the Lumina, police said.
