Man gets jail time for 2 burglaries
MERCER, Pa. -- A Sharon man will serve up to a year in jail for breaking into a Sharon business on two occasions.
Judge John Reed of Mercer County Common Pleas Court sentenced Kyle Parrish, 19, of Hall Avenue, Sharon, to two to 12 months in jail followed by two years' probation for burglary and criminal trespass, both felonies.
He was given credit for 57 days served, and Judge Reed ordered him to make restitution at a hearing Monday.
Court documents state that on Jan. 26 this year, Parrish broke into the Nittany Pub & amp; Grill, 1208 Hall Ave. Once inside, he took cash and $150 worth of bottled liquor. The same day he also tried to enter the nearby Liquidators, 1216 Hall Ave., and damaged a door.
Parrish also pleaded guilty to an earlier break-in at Nittany Pub & amp; Grill that took place Sept. 9, 2005, court records state. During that break-in, he broke a glass front door and damaged a security system.
Judge Reed also sentenced Leslie Moore, 33, of South Stateline Road, Sharon, to six to 23 months in jail for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a felony. He also was ordered to make restitution to the Pennsylvania State Police Crime lab for testing.
Moore was arrested at a Mesabi Street, Sharon, address June 20, 2005, for possessing crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale and 15 plastic bags, court documents state.
