FORUM HEALTH Myth or fact

The April 24 edition of the weekly Forum Health publication "Forum Flash" offers information in a myth-and-fact and question-and-answer formats. Some of them are:
Myth: Forum's financial problems could not have grown so large in so short a time.
Fact: Over the course of the past 10 years, expenses have pretty much exceeded revenues.
Myth: We can fix our problems without addressing labor costs.
Fact: Currently, wages and benefits account for 57 percent of our revenues, compared to a national average closer to 45 percent for hospitals our size.
Question: Instead of merging with Humility of Mary Health Partners, would Cleveland be an option?
Answer: At this point, no potential mergers or partnerships have been confirmed. But the management team is reaching out to many prospects.
