SOFTBALL
Westminster 8-8, Penn State-Altoona 0-0 -- The Titans (19-15) twice shutout Penn State-Altoona (7-17) and have won 10 of their last 11 games. Jennifer Pancake (Boardman) fired a two-hitter with one walk and three strikeouts in six innings of work to extend her streak of not allowing an earned run to 45 2/3 innings, dating back to April 8. It was her fifth consecutive complete game shutout and her seventh of the season.
Geneva 5-4, Ursuline 4-2 -- Geneva is now 25-19, 4-4 AMC North.

Women
Grove City -- Was led by freshman Julia Seward who won the 5000 in an ECAC-qualifying time of 18 minutes, 59.71 seconds. Sophomore Mary Majchrowicz took third in the 400 (1:00.8) and sixth in the 200 (27.60).
Men
Grove City -- Was paced by junior Sam Dippold took third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 57.00 seconds while sophomore Bob Rummel finished third in the 110 high hurdles (16.00). Freshman Dan Spaulding finished third in the 5000 (15:58.70).
Westminster Invitational
Men
Mount Union -- Took first place in every event of the non-scoring meet. Pierre Garcon was first in the 100 (11.04) and 200 (22.23).
Women
Mount Union -- Was led by Raina Keppler who took the 800 (2:23.13) and Janell Rothacker who won the 400 hurdles (1:05.46).
BASEBALL
Mount Union 14, Thiel 6 -- Josh Tedesco (Ursuline) took the loss for the Tomcats (17-17). The Raiders (20-11) scored five runs in the first inning and never trailed.
St. Vincent 15-13, Geneva 4-4 -- St. Vincent had 25 hits and five home runs. Geneva is 24-17, 7-13 AMC North.
Slippery Rock 1-7, Shippensburg 5-6 -- The Rock is 29-15, 13-3 PSAC-West.
