Jail proposal
Criminal Justice Working Group members are considering this bed-allocation plan for Mahoning County jail, based on a fully open jail with 564 beds and a reopened misdemeanor jail with 96 beds:
150 beds for federal inmates
296 beds for violent felons and domestic violence cases
96 beds for Youngstown Municipal Court cases
40 beds for county court cases
12 beds for Campbell and Struthers municipal courts, combined
