Koval has second no-hitter; Reserve 10-5 winner

VIENNA -- Ursuline High's Ashley Koval pitched her second no-hitter of the season, working five innings with six strikeouts in the Fighting Irish's 13-2 win over The Rayen School Monday.
A week ago, the senior threw a no-hitter against Chaney.
Vannessa Dickson hit a triple, home run and single against the Tigers at the Thunderplex and she drove in five runs. Jenna Klempay hit a home run and single and drove in two runs. Marinda Carkido hit a triple, single and drove in a run for the Irish (13-8, 3-2) in the Steel Valley Conference game.
Western Reserve 10,Mineral Ridge 5
BERLIN CENTER -- McKenzie Mowery had three hits, including a homer, and drove in three runs to lead Western Reserve in an Inter-County League game.
Tarah Young had three hits and three RBIs and Macy Marra also had three hits for the Blue Devils (11-4, 7-2), while Erika Goddard doubled twice. Elizabeth Srock struck out 11 and walked six to get the win.
January Golden had three hits and two RBIs and Melanie Sparks added two hits for the Rams (4-10, 4-4).
Springfield 3, McDonald 0
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Courtney Sheely's three-run home run was the key hit for the Tigers (9-5, 8-0) in an ICL game. She also hit a double.
Freshman Erica Burkey (1-2) pitched a complete game as she scattered four hits and struck out six to pick up the win.
Lauren Walls (5-4) also scattered four hits for the Blue Devils (8-5 and 3-4).
South Range 10, Jackson-Milton 8
NORTH LIMA -- Jackson-Milton's 8-6 lead was erased in the bottom of the sixth inning when Heather Stacy hit a three-run homer.
The blast by Stacy, a senior, was preceded by Sara Haynie's sacrifice fly that scored Loke Kalima.
Sophomore Autumn Carter had two singles for three RBIs for Range (2-10-1, 2-6 ICL).
For Jackson-Milton (10-9, 4-5), juniors Kortney Gherardi and Kara Conrad had a double and single. Gherardi finished with four RBIs and Conrad three.
Newton Falls 4, Liberty 0
LIBERTY -- Blaine Chapman scattered four hits as she pitched a complete game in the Trumbull Athletic Conference.
Emily Montgomery hit a pair of singles and drove in a run for the Tigers.
The Leopards slipped to 2-7 overall and 1-6 in the TAC.
East Palestine 3, Columbiana 1
COLUMBIANA -- Chelsea Peterson pitched a seven-hitter with five strikeouts for East Palestine in a Tri-County League game.
Peterson out-dueled Kayla Seybert, who pitched a five-hitter.
The Bulldogs (14-3, 8-1) had two unearned runs. Jen Yokley hit a triple.
Seybert had a double, single and one RBI and Kristen Hart two singles for Columbiana (9-7, 6-3).
Wellsville 5, Southern 3
WELLSVILLE -- Erin Mick had two hits and an RBI to lead Wellsville.
Emily Ramsey had three hits and Hannah Crews had two hits and two RBIs for Southern. Crews also struck out 14.
Mathews 3, Pymatuning Valley 1
VIENNA -- Caitlyn Youngs (11-1-1) scattered three hits with 10 strikeouts to pick up the win for Mathews, which handed Pymatuning Valley (6-1, 6-1) its first loss of the season in the Northeastern Athletic Conference game.
Laura Wise hit three singles and drove in a run and Amber Jarvis hit a single and double and scored a run for the Mustangs (13-3, 7-1).
Southeast 4, Akron Coventry 2
RAVENNA -- The Pirates (5-7) built a 4-0 lead through four innings and held on to prevail.
Winning pitch Danielle Kaley (2-3) hit a single and double, while Meagan Wain and Shannon Hamilton each hit a double for the Pirates.
Akron Coventry fell to 3-4.
