XSTRUTHERS -- The wedding of Sophia Deckant of North Lima and Philip Damion DeRobbio of Struthers took place March 25 at St. Nicholas Church.
The marriage was solemnized by the Rev. Phillip Rogers during a 2 p.m. ceremony, and the couple accepted congratulations afterward at a reception held at Avion on the Water in Canfield.
After a wedding trip to the Florida Keys, they live in Struthers.
The bride is a daughter of Linda and Larry Deckant of North Lima, and the groom's parents are Caitlyn DeStefano of Struthers and Philip DeRobbio of Pulaski, Pa.
Lace and pearls enhanced the bride's candlelight-colored gown. It featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and a cathedral train.
A magenta gown was worn by the honor attendant Jodi Yencik of North Lima. Flower girls were the bride's cousins, Jean Deibel and Angela Deibel, both of Canfield.
The duties of best man were performed by Ryan Booher of Poland, and the ring bearer was the bride's cousin, John Deibel of Canfield. Ushers were the bride's brother, Jason Deckant of Boardman, and Justin Marino of Poland, James Hoffman of Struthers, and Dennis Stratton of Austintown.
The bride attended Ohio State University and is attending Youngstown State University.
The groom is a cable technician with Baker Installations of Akron.
