July wedding set for Aimee Phan, Matthew Shears

XBOARDMAN -- Announced by Terry and Patti Shears, 7765 Silver Fox Drive, is the engagement of their son, Matthew Shears, and Aimee Phan, both of 1725 N.E. Lower Drive, Pullman, Wash.
The bride-elect is a daughter of A.T. and Teresa Phan, 6 McCormick, Irvine, Calif.
Miss Phan is an assistant professor of English at Washington State University in Pullman. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a bachelor's degree, and from the University of Iowa with a master's in fine arts.
Mr. Shears received a bachelor's degree from Miami University at Oxford and a master of fine arts degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He earned his doctorate from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and is an instructor of English at WSU.
David Hill Winery in Portland, Ore., has been chosen for the couple's 6 p.m. July 29 wedding and also for their reception afterward. Invitations will be extended for both events.
