Time is right to fly a kite

The rain held off Saturday and the winds were brisk, a perfect combination for those who just wanted to go out and fly a kite. Above, Teresa Wasylchyn, 5, of Austintown tries to get her kite airborne at the Mill Creek Kite Festival at Mill Creek MetroParks farm in Canfield. She was at the event with her grandfather, Larry Gilboy of Boardman. At right, Benjamin Franklin, also known as Linda Armstrong of Boardman, a park volunteer, had to wait a few minutes before she could get her kite in the air.
