Church's purpose campaign to kick off

EAST PALESTINE -- First United Presbyterian Church, 109 W. Rebecca St., will launch its 40 Days of Purpose Campaign during a program at 6 p.m. today in fellowship hall.
The campaign is based on the book, "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren, senior pastor at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif. The campaign features the opening event, weekly messages, Scripture verses and meetings, personal or family devotional readings and a concluding celebration in June.
The church has formed nine small groups involving some 70 people. The groups will meet for book study. Call the church, (330) 426-2417, to participate.
