Cops want Warren man who fled

LIBERTY -- Township police are looking for a Warren man who ran from police and eluded capture after a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon when police found guns in the car he was driving.
According to police reports, officers were about to issue a citation to a vehicle parked in the fire lane at the Holiday Inn on Motor Inn Drive, but realized the driver, who was inside the hotel, was wanted in Warren, Boardman and Campbell.
The driver, Gabriel S. Green, 21, of North Road, Warren, had warrants for felony assault, misdemeanor obstructing police business and failure to appear in court, reports said.
Instead of issuing the parking citation, officers waited for Green to return to the car and pulled the car over when he tried to leave the hotel. Green, reports said, ran into the hotel after police ordered him out of the car. He was last seen running through the parking lot of Knights Inn Hotel on Motor Inn Drive.
Police reports said three other men in the car with Green ran when the car was stopped, but were caught.
The three were all from Detroit and told police Green picked them up at the bus station earlier that day.
In the trunk of the car police found an assault rifle with a loaded magazine nearby and an unloaded revolver.
