A summary of recent criminal activity in Liberty and Hubbard:
LIBERTY
April 11
Theft: A woman in the 2500 block of Fifth Avenue reported the theft of her purse from her car.
Aggravated menacing: A Euclid Boulevard man played for police two threatening phone messages, including one in which the caller wanted money and threatened to kill the man.
Theft: A Youngstown man reported two stethoscopes, an earpiece and $10 missing from his vehicle after it was towed to Miller's Towing, 4100 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A man in the 2900 block of Oakland Drive reported the theft of his wallet.
Assault: After responding to a fight at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, officers arrested two 17-year-old students. Both faced assault charges after police say each admitted striking the other.
April 12
Theft: A Ventura Drive man told police he gave $650 to another man to buy materials for work at his residence but since has unable to contact the man to whom he gave the money.
Criminal damaging: A man returned to his home in the 3000 block of Frederick Street and found a window broken.
Theft: A woman reported the theft of quarters from her residence in the 10 block of Holly Drive.
Theft: An Oriel-Rogers Road woman returned to her apartment and found that household appliances, furniture and paperwork had been removed. The woman said her landlord admitted the theft while in the process of evicting her.
Criminal damaging: A motorist told authorities he saw two boys, 12 and 13, toss rocks at windows, breaking one, at the former Liberty High School on Shady Road.
Drugs: After stopping a vehicle for a loud exhaust on state Route 193, police arrested a 44-year-old Girard woman after finding a suspected crack pipe. Charges against the woman were possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false information to avoid a citation and having an open container of alcohol.
April 13
Arrest: While conducting a traffic stop on Naylor-Lloyd Road, officers took a 34-year-old Warren woman into custody on a warrant. A charge of probation violation was pending.
Theft: Someone stole several toddler outfits and other items from Dollar General, 3551 Belmont Ave. The loss came to $55.
Identity theft: A Northgate Road man discovered a gas meter had been removed from his home. The man told police that Dominion East Ohio Gas Co. informed him he owed $3,200 for gas that was used at a Youngstown residence but that he never lived there.
Burglary: A man in the 4200 block of Logangate Road noticed a screen had been removed before someone entered through a window and ransacked a portion of his home. A 9 mm firearm was missing.
Criminal damaging: A man discovered two holes in his garage window in the 5500 block of Lamplighter Drive. Damage was estimated at $350.
April 14
Breaking and entering: Someone used a rock to smash a window at Big John's Brushless Car Wash, 3657 Belmont Ave., and a screwdriver to try to pry open a coin box.
Drugs: After pulling over a motorist for driving erratically, officers arrested a Youngstown man, 21, near state Route 304 and Logan Way. He was wanted on a warrant charging him with probation violation; he also was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia after a small bag of suspected marijuana was found in his possession.
April 15
Stolen property: Police arrested a 33-year-old man, no city listed, at a Shell True North station, 3990 Belmont Ave., and charged him with receiving stolen property after responding to a complaint that a suspicious person was begging for money. Police determined the car he was in had been stolen in Mansfield, Ohio.
Identity theft: Officers apprehended three women from the Columbus area, two age 19 and one 18, at the Quality Inn & amp; Suites, 4055 Belmont Ave. Charges against the trio were identity theft, theft and complicity to theft after they were accused of using a stolen credit card to obtain a room.
Assault: A Girard woman suffered a dislocated shoulder that she said happened when her boyfriend, 37, assaulted her during an altercation at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported a checkbook, two credit cards, $130 and her purse stolen while she was at Belmont Park Cemetery, 3346 Belmont Ave.
HUBBARD
April 12
Theft: Police arrested a 45-year-old Youngstown man accused of stealing items from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 147 W. Liberty St. The man also was wanted on a warrant from Hubbard charging him with theft as well as a warrant from Youngstown charging him with various traffic offenses.
Identity theft: A Doris Drive woman reported someone used her identity to remove money from her account at Sky Bank, 11 S. Main St.
April 13
Criminal damaging: A woman reported someone tossed a brick at her vehicle in her driveway in the 300 block of South Main Street.
April 14
Recovered property: Police found a damaged vehicle near Bell-Wick Bowl, 6105 W. Liberty St., that had been reported stolen in Warren.
Criminal mischief: A woman reported seeing a juvenile toss toilet paper into shrubs at a Viola Avenue residence.
Theft: A teenager stole a snack item from a Shell True North station, 204 W. Liberty St.
April 15
Criminal damaging: Residents on Creed, Moore and Lloyd streets as well as Rebecca Avenue told police they discovered someone had smashed their vehicles' windshields.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 40 block of Spring Street noticed someone tried to pry open a fuel cover on her vehicle, damaging the cover.
April 17
Assault: Police charged a 26-year-old Hubbard man with assault and child endangering after a 17-year-old boy reported being assaulted in the township. The victim suffered an eye injury and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into High-Tech Automotive, 917 N. Main St.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 100 block of Furlen Court called police after four boys damaged a vehicle in her driveway.
