Man in satisfactory condition after shooting

WARREN -- Wayne Mitchell, 25, of Adelaide Avenue was in satisfactory condition Tuesday night at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital as a result of a shooting earlier in the day.
Mitchell told police he was staying at a house in the 1600 block of Woodbine Avenue around 1 a.m. when an unidentified person tried to break into the house and he was shot in the lower back.
Police recovered three spent .40-caliber casings from the scene.
