BOARDMAN
April 11
Bad check: A phony check was passed at Midas Auto Service, 5938 Market St.
Theft: Police charged two men, 44 and 54, and a woman, 31, all from Youngstown, with theft. The three were accused of stealing merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: Officers apprehended a woman, 23, and a teenage girl, 16, both from Youngstown, at Shoe Carnival, 550 Boardman-Poland Road. They were charged in the theft of shoes.
Assault: A 51-year-old Boardman man faced an assault charge after police responded to a fight near Home Savings and Loan, 7525 Market St.
Assault: Officers took a 30-year-old Shields Road man into custody at his residence. The man was wanted on a warrant charging him with assault.
April 12
Criminal damaging: A man found a vacuum machine damaged after someone tried to gain access to a coin box at Super Subers Car Care Center, 4030 South Ave.
Robbery: A woman called police after another woman grabbed her purse in the Giant Eagle parking lot, 1201 Doral Drive.
Arrest: After claiming her vehicle had been stolen at the Southern Park Mall, authorities say a woman confessed the police report she filed was false. Police charged the 47-year-old Columbiana woman with falsification.
Theft: A Boardman man reported the theft of his cellular phone at the Southern Park Mall.
Burglary: Someone entered a residence in the 3900 block of Arden Boulevard and took a treadmill.
Theft: Police arrested a 17-year-old Youngstown girl on a theft charge after items were stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.
Assault: A man reported being assaulted at his home in the 4000 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A Campbell woman, 27, faced a theft count after being accused of stealing 29 items from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall.
Drugs: A woman called police after a friend on Erskine Avenue reportedly overdosed on heroin.
Drugs: Officers arrested a 31-year-old Youngstown man while conducting a traffic stop in the township and charged him with one felony count of trafficking in drugs. Police also cited the driver, a 31-year-old Boardman man, on a charge of possession of drugs (marijuana).
April 13
Misuse of a credit card: A woman in the 600 block of Moyer Avenue discovered someone used her Visa/debit card without permission to make more than $400 worth of fraudulent charges at Sprint PCS.
Vandalism: Someone made five 12- to 18-inch cuts in a portion of the roof at Boardman Lanes, 7524 Market St., causing $600 worth of damage.
Theft/criminal damaging: A worker at Graef Windows, 365 McClurg Road, reported his vehicle's driver's-side window shattered and a CD player stolen.
Theft: An employee at Amtech Tool & amp; Machine, 100 McClurg Road, reported a wristwatch, a book of CDs and a knife stolen from his car.
Arrest: Police charged a Poland man, 18, with underage possession of alcohol after he had a can of beer at Camelot Lanes, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road.
April 14
Fraud: A Milltrace Road man told police a lottery company informed him he won $90,000, and that the man was to cash a check made out to him for nearly $3,000. The check, however, turned out to be counterfeit.
Vehicle theft: A woman reported her 1998 Plymouth Voyager minivan stolen from the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: A man in the 7100 block of Locust Avenue noticed both license plates missing from his car.
Attempted burglary: A man discovered someone kicked in a rear door to his residence in the 90 block of Meadowbrook Avenue.
Theft: A woman in the 7600 block of Huntington Drive reported the theft of personal checks.
Fraud: A man reported his elderly Gertrude Avenue mother paid $500 for work to her home that was never completed.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 23, faced a felony count of theft after it was discovered a number of fraudulent transactions occurred at Subway Sandwiches & amp; Salads, 998 E. Western Reserve Road. The employee was accused of stealing about $500 from the business over a period of time.
Theft: A Cleveland girl and a Youngstown girl, both 17, faced theft charges after jewelry and earrings were stolen from Kaufmann's.
Theft: A woman, 26, and a man, 38, both from Youngstown, were charged with theft. They are accused of concealing steaks in the front of their pants at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Domestic violence: A 36-year-old Edenridge Drive man was charged with domestic violence (threats) after a family member said that she was threatened, and that the man destroyed property in the home.
Arrest: Police responded to a call of a light on at a vacant residence in the 400 block of Meadowbrook Avenue. There, they arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown man wanted on a warrant from Austintown charging him with receiving stolen property.
Breaking and entering: Someone shattered a glass door at Island Tropics Boardman, 139 Boardman-Canfield Road, and broke in. Stolen was a cash drawer containing $85.
April 15
Menacing: Police arrested a 27-year-old Youngstown woman on a menacing charge after two employees at Kids Foot Locker in the Southern Park Mall accused her of threatening them at work.
Robbery: A woman reported someone grabbed her purse near her apartment in the 7000 block of West Boulevard.
Criminal damaging: A man reported front-lawn damage at his home in the 5000 block of Firnley Avenue.
Theft: Someone removed six flower bouquets from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Arrest: Officers responded to a call of someone screaming at employees at Golf Headquarters, 1401 Boardman-Canfield Road, and arrested a 20-year-old Youngstown man. He faced charges of receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
Criminal trespassing: Authorities arrested a Boardman man, 52, at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Southern Park Mall and charged him with criminal trespassing after responding to a disturbance there. The man had been warned to stay away from the business, police said.
Theft: Someone stole $109 from Subway Sandwiches & amp; Salads, 1393 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A man discovered a CD player missing from his vehicle while he was at Mahoning Valley Gourmet Foods, 4200 Simon Road.
Domestic violence: A man, 36, was taken into custody at his Beechwood Drive home on a domestic-violence charge after a household member reported being assaulted.
April 16
Theft: A woman reported a bicycle stolen from a carport at her residence in the 400 block of Mathews Road.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into the Freedom Wireless kiosk in the Southern Park Mall and stole money.
Theft: A woman reported the theft of keys at FedEx Kinko's, 48 Boardman-Poland Road.
Domestic violence: A 38-year-old Youngstown man was picked up on a warrant from Boardman charging him with domestic violence.
Citation: Police cited a Boardman man, 25, after responding to a traffic accident. The charge was disorderly conduct.
Drugs: Authorities cited a 19-year-old Lewis Center, Ohio, man during a traffic stop on a charge of possession of drugs (marijuana).
POLAND
April 14
Drugs: While investigating a possible domestic situation at a Hamilton Avenue residence, police arrested a 26-year-old woman there. She was charged with possession of a drug-abuse instrument after being suspected of using heroin.
April 16
Assault: A 19-year-old Poland man alleged his former girlfriend, 17, sneaked up on him and punched him in the face and head four or five times while the two were at a residence in the 500 block of North Main Street.
