Man on trial in case of 5 counts of child rape

WARREN -- Testimony is under way in the trial of a Homewood Avenue Southeast man accused of five counts of rape and five counts of pandering obscenity involving a 12-year-old girl.
Allan Jackson Jr., 35, faces a sentence of 10 years to life in prison on each of the rape counts and two to eight years in prison on each of the counts of pandering obscenity.
Jackson is accused of having oral sex with the girl, to whom he is not related, last year.
The case is being heard by Judge John Stuard of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. Mike Burnett, an assistant county prosecutor, is trying the state's case. Atty. Samuel Bluedorn is Jackson's defense lawyer.
Jackson pleaded innocent to the charges in January and has been held in Trumbull County Jail with bond set at $1 million.
