BASEBALL
Penn State Behrend 5, Thiel 2 -- The Tomcats (15-14), leading 2-1 going into the bottom of the sixth, surrendered a pair of unearned runs to the Lions (15-8-1) in the bottom of the inning to fall behind 3-2. Thiel freshman pitcher Josh Tedesco (Ursuline) took the loss, allowing three runs on six hits with four strikeouts. Senior right fielder Brett Bell (Badger) finished with two hits.
Slippery Rock 5-10, Wheeling Jesuit 1-3 -- The Rock is 27-11 after the sweep. WJ is 7-34.
Westminster 1-11, Pitt-Greensburg 8-10 -- Westminster (12-13) saw its three-game win streak snapped in game one. Westminster score three runs each in the first and third innings and two more in the fourth of the nightcap to take an 8-1 lead midway through the fourth.
SOFTBALL
Bethany 13-9, Thiel 2-0 -- The Tomcats are 3-25, 0-4 PAC. The Bison are 13-17, 3-3 PAC. Center fielder Emily Patton (Poland) went two-for-four with three RBIs.
Ohio Dominican 2-13, Geneva 1-6 -- Ohio Dominican scored twice in the secenth inning of the opener and 13 straight runs in the nightcap to erase a 6-0 deficit. Geneva (20-19) has lost seven straight.
