MIAMI -- Luol Deng scored 17 of his 26 points to spearhead Chicago's first half rally from an early 15-point deficit, and the Bulls also got 18 points apiece from Andres Nocioni and Ben Gordon to beat Miami and clinch an Eastern Conference postseason berth. Chicago's win also eliminated Orlando from the postseason chase. Antoine Walker had 22 points and O'Neal added 14 in 20 minutes for Miami. Wade had only eight points on 2-for-12 shooting in 20 minutes, ending his team-record streak of 78 straight games in double figures.
Lakers 109, Suns 89
LOS ANGELES -- Kobe Bryant made a late-season case for league MVP honors, scoring 43 points and helping the Lakers clinch a playoff berth. The Suns rested Steve Nash and Raja Bell because of injuries. Shawn Marion had 29 points and Leandro Barbosa added 16 before fouling out early in the fourth. Boris Diaw had 11 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds.
Spurs 103, Timberwolves 90
MINNEAPOLIS -- San Antonio moved closer to clinching first place in the Western Conference behind 57 points from its bench. Tim Duncan had 10 points and eight rebounds in 20 minutes for the Spurs. Tony Parker had 11 points in 17 minutes for San Antonio. Marcus Banks had 25 points on 10-for-11 shooting from the foul line. Rashad McCants scored 20 points, and rookie Bracey Wright added 13 points.
Pistons 103, Knicks 97
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Richard Hamilton scored 28 points and Tayshaun Prince added 20 as Detroit set a franchise record for wins. The Pistons (64-16) broke the mark of 63 wins set by the 1988-89 NBA champs.
Nets 95, Celtics 93
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Nenad Krstic scored 18 points to pace a balanced attack and Richard Jefferson added 15 for New Jersey. Vince Carter added 13 points -- 11 below his season average -- and reserve guard Zoran Planinic also had a season-high 13. The Celtics have lost four straight and five of six. They were paced by rookie Gerald Green, who had 19 points, and Kendrick Perkins, who added 16 points and nine rebounds.
Mavericks 111, Jazz 95
DALLAS -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 14 of his 22 points on free throws and Jerry Stackhouse added 20 points in his return to the sixth-man role, as Dallas eliminated Utah from the postseason chase. Carlos Boozer continued his recent roll for the Jazz with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Andrei Kirilenko scored nine points, leaving in the third quarter with back spasms. Mehmet Okur had 17 points and rookie Deron Williams had 16 points and nine assists. Josh Howard added 18 points for the Mavs. Erick Dampier had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Jason Terry overcame a 1-of-7 start to score 16 points.
Kings 96, Hornets 79
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Mike Bibby hit five 3-pointers while scoring 23 points, and Sacramento celebrated its eighth consecutive playoff berth. Bonzi Wells scored 16 points in three quarters for the Kings. Rookie Chris Paul had 12 points and seven assists for the Hornets, who lost for the fourth time in five games. Ron Artest had 13 points, six rebounds and six assists for the KIngs.
SuperSonics 114, Clippers 98
LOS ANGELES -- Ray Allen had 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and Seattle ruined Los Angeles' final regular season home game. Elton Brand had 22 points and seven rebounds for the Clippers. Seattle forward Chris Wilcox had nine points and eight rebounds in his first game against the Clippers since the Feb. 14 trade that sent him to Seattle in exchange for Vladimir Radmanovic. Radmanovic had eight points in 20 minutes for the Clippers.
