Surprise party held for Gallaghers in celebration of 50th anniversary

XCANFIELD -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gallagher, 17 Willow Way, was celebrated during a surprise party that took place April 15 at Caf & eacute; Capri in Boardman.
Invitations for the event were issued by the couple's children and their spouses, Gregory and Wendy Gallagher of Pittsburgh, Diana Gallagher of Canfield, and Daniel and Jodee Gallagher of Columbus. The family includes five grandchildren.
St. Brendan Church in Youngstown was the setting April 14, 1956, as the former Delores Segesto and Mr. Gallagher were united in marriage. They are members of St. Michael Church.
Mrs. Gallagher retired from Freight Liquidators in Boardman, where she was employed in sales.
Mr. Gallagher served with the U.S. Navy and retired in 1986 from Republic Steel Corp. in Youngstown, where he was a general superintendent.
