XLAS VEGAS -- The beach at the Rio Suites was the setting on March 12 as Jennifer Marie Weaver and David Joseph Salapata, both of 7417-B E. Huntington Drive, Boardman, were united in marriage.
The Rev. Darryl Wilson officiated at the 7 p.m. wedding.
The bride is a daughter of Anna M. Baker, 2011 state Route 88, Bristolville, and parents of the groom are Harry and Kathy Salapata, 407 Peffer Ave., Niles.
The bride wore a strapless, A-line gown of white satin enhanced with an organza overlay. It was embellished with blue Swarovski crystal beading on the bodice and hemline, and the skirt flowed into a cathedral train.
Mrs. Salapata graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in finance and is pursuing a master's in business administration online from the University of Phoenix. She is an accountant with Community Card Services in Canfield.
The groom works from his home as a faculty research assistant with the University of Maryland in College Park. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in meteorology and received his master's in meteorology from Florida State University in Tallahassee. He is pursuing a degree in air traffic control at Community College of Beaver County in Beaver, Pa.
The couple live in Boardman.
