Utah woman dies in crash on I-680

AUSTINTOWN -- A Utah woman died on Interstate 680 when the van she was in -- driven by a 151/2-year-old girl with a temporary permit -- crashed.
Natasha Jones of Copley, Ohio, was driving a minivan south on I-680 around 9:25 a.m. Friday when she lost control and drove off the left side of the road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Canfield post. The driver over-corrected coming back onto the road and the van flipped and slid off the left side of the road, coming to rest on its roof, the patrol said.
The road was wet, but it was not raining at the time of the crash, the patrol said.
The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured.
The patrol said Connie Whiting, no age given, of Clearfield, Utah, died in the crash. She had been seated in the right front seat and wearing a seat belt.
Also in the van:
Alexandra Jones, 10, of Copley. She was in critical condition Friday night in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Jessica Jones, 14, of Copley, treated at the hospital.
Shauna Jones, 37, of Copley, treated at the hospital.
Spencer Jones, 3, of Copley, not injured.
The patrol said Friday they do not know if any of the victims are related. The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending consultation with a prosecutor, the patrol said.
