Unearned runs cost Boardman in defeat

CANTON -- Jamie Amero hit two doubles and drove in two runs Thursday in Boardman's 8-4 loss to Federal League rival Canton McKinley.
Mallory Hay had two singles and a RBI for the Spartan (2-7, 0-4) while Kelsey Ford had two singles. Julie Frank doubled.
For McKinley (4-3, 2-2), Nicole Stewart tripled. Seven of their runs were unearned.
