Meeting set for Petersburg sewer project

NEW SPRINGFIELD -- An informational meeting on the progress of the Petersburg sewer project has been set for 7 p.m. April 25 at Petersburg Presbyterian Church, state Route 170. Springfield Township Trustee Jim Holleran said the meeting was set because of questions residents raised about funding the project. The public is invited.
Annual cleanup
Springfield Township's annual spring cleanup is set for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Volunteers should meet at 8:45 a.m. at the township Administration Building, 3475 E. South Range Road, to obtain bags and vests. Individuals, groups and organizations are invited to participate in the cleanup of litter on township roads. For more information, call (330) 542-2377.
The Waste Management Site, 3510 Garfield Road, also will be open to the public that day for drop-offs of large items from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. No freon, tires or batteries will be accepted.
