OAKLAND ATHLETICS--Placed RHP Jay Witasick on the 15-day DL. Recalled OF Bobby Kielty from Sacramento of the PCL.

NBA--Suspended Atlanta G-F Josh Childress for two games for throwing a forearm to the head of Chicago F Andres Nocioni in an April 12 game. Fined Nocioni $5,000 and assessed a Flagrant Foul Penalty Two for making unnecessary and excessive contact with Childress.
