Enjoyed watching bouts
Fanfare:
A recent article was in sports about Alexis Arguello.
What a tremendous fighter he was. Good chin, a great puncher and such a fine gentleman.
I'm afraid he did not beat Aaron Pryor as your article stated.
He had two tremendous bouts with the "Hawk," both ending in a TKO. Pryor was a great fighter who had a chin of iron.
It was rumored he and Ray Mancini were working on a match. Talk about two little giants from Ohio.
I hear Pryor's career was cut short due to drugs. I hope this is not true. So many fine athletes ruin their careers due to drugs.

BASEBALL
Classic a true World event
Fanfare:
I thoroughly enjoyed the recent World Baseball Classic, as I'm a big baseball fan.
Maybe by advancing the interest of baseball to the world, a true World Series may evolve.
Presently, we have only one foreign team, the Toronto Blue Jays. Baseball could become a truly world event such as the World Cup in soccer.
This nation could show its prowess in another sport instead of world military terrorism.
As the Greeks of old have created this idea in their concept of the Olympics, so has the city of Youngstown embraced that idea with the Peace Race with several countries competing in the name of peace.
