INDICTMENTS Mahoning County

A Mahoning County grand jury declined to indict Tonya Robinson on a charge of possession of cocaine. The grand jury did indict Karen Shelley, 47, and her son Donald F. Shelley Jr., 22, both of Park Avenue, Girard, on a charge of theft. Karen Shelley was a manager at a McDonald's restaurant on North Niles-Canfield Road, Austintown. She told police Jan. 27 that a man wearing a hood robbed her of three deposit bags from the restaurant while she was at a night deposit box at National City Bank, 4949 Mahoning Ave. Police say mother and son staged the holdup, and Donald Shelley Jr. was the robber. McDonald's has not said how much money was stolen, but the indictment says it was between $500 and $5,000.
Jerome Carter, 18, of Wick Avenue, Youngstown, has been indicted on a charge of assault on Robert Amatore, an assistant principal at The Rayen School. The episode occurred March 14, while Amatore was performing his official duties, according to the indictment.

Dayne R. Rambo, 42, Woodworth Road, New Springfield, or North Four Mile Run Road, Austintown; breaking and entering.
Derek E. Hahn, 27, Lorain Avenue, Girard; improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.
Luther Reviere Jr., 47, Crandall Avenue, Youngstown; receiving stolen property, passing bad checks, forgery.
Sherry E. Coleman, 47, East Philadelphia Avenue, Youngstown; receiving stolen property, passing bad checks, forgery.
Charles D. McCrone, 30, South Avenue, Poland; possessing drug abuse instruments.
Charnitta Benson, 28, Hayman Street, Youngstown; possession of cocaine.
DeCarlos Jones, 30, Woodside Avenue, Youngstown; felonious assault (two counts), domestic violence (two counts), endangering children (two counts), aggravated burglary.
Marcus Parish, 18, Rutledge Drive, Youngstown; illegal possession of a weapon or weapons, carrying concealed weapons.
Vernon Reed, 33, Gypsy Lane, Youngstown; aggravated robbery.
