June 10 chosen for McCarthy, Speer wedding

CANFIELD -- The engagement of Colleen McCarthy, 238 Collins Ave., Columbus, and Brian Speer, 2597 River Oaks Drive, Columbus, is being announced by the parents of the bride-elect, Jerry and Kay McCarthy, 519 Greenmont Drive.
The future groom's parents are Dr. Randall and Valerie Speer, 4080 Fairfax Drive, Upper Arlington.
Miss McCarthy graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus with a bachelor's degree in marketing communications. She is an assistant director of annual giving at OSU.
Mr. Speer, a pharmacist with The Kroger Co. in Grove City, earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a doctorate in pharmacy at OSU.
The couple have chosen June 10 for their open wedding at 1:30 p.m. at St. Michael Church. They will issue invitations for their evening reception at St. Lucy Banquet Center, Campbell.
