BEAVER TOWNSHIP | Meeting

At a meeting Tuesday, Beaver Township trustees:
Approved a two-year lease with landlord Joe Dickey for the township offices in the South Range Plaza. Rent will be $1,350 a month May 1, 2006, through April 30, 2008. The township currently pays $1,320 a month for the offices.
Agreed to pay Kleen Sweep of New Middletown $73 an hour for street sweeping services.
Hired Frederick Shimer as a park worker at $8 an hour, and Patty Shimer as a park cleaning person at $7 an hour. Trustees didn't say whether the two are related.
Approved the construction of a storage garage and pavilion at the nature preserve on state Route 165. The cost for the project is $18,500, and officials said they expect the work to be done by the end of the month.
