CANFIELD
April 1
Drug abuse: Police charge a 26-year-old Youngstown man with drug abuse and obtaining and possessing drugs at Shadydale Drive and Findlay Avenue after police found an empty film container with suspected marijuana residue in his vehicle.
April 3
Breaking and entering: Range One, 580 W. Main St., was broken into and several items taken, including a 50-gallon drum, a Dell computer with a 21-inch monitor, an HP printer, two laptop computers, a printer-copier and fax machine.
April 4
Hit-skip: Police charged a 23-year-old Youngstown woman with hitting another car with her vehicle while she was still at the Drivers' Exam Station at the Ohio State Highway Patrol. She is charged with driving under suspension and improper backing.
April 6
Theft: Police charged a 50-year-old Canfield man with shoplifting and falsification at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St. He was caught stealing ice cream and ice cream bars.
Arrest: Police charged three people with various drug charges after a traffic stop on Main Street. A 21-year-old Ellwood City, Pa., man faces charges of drug abuse, obtaining and possessing drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. An 18-year old News Castle Pa., man and a 19-year-old New Castle woman are both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
April 7
Drug paraphernalia: Police charged a 47-year-old Austintown man with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found him in possession with a glass pipe that contained suspected cocaine residue.
April 8
Theft: A cashier's check for $260 was cashed but no transmission was delivered in an eBay transaction reported by a Brookpark Drive resident.
Theft: Three people were arrested for a theft at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St., when steaks and several cans of baby formula were stolen. Charged with theft was a 46-year-old Girard man, a 45-year-old Girard woman, and a 25-year-old Girard woman. Police also found an OxyContin bottle with clear liquid inside, which was seized for narcotic testing and two kinds of pills taken from one of the women's pockets.
April 9
Bomb threat/inducing panic: A bomb threat was called in to Giant Eagle at 9:30 p.m. At 11:20 p.m. safety officials and store employees said they were satisfied with their search, which turned up no bomb.

April 3
Breaking and entering: Cigarettes were taken from the BP gas station, 3602 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: No forced entry was reported, but the interior doors were damaged at a home in the 3000 block of Brandomyne Avenue. Nothing was reported missing.
Theft: Undetermined amount of cash was stolen from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A window was damaged at Wickliffe Church, 3939 Potomac Ave.
April 4
Theft: A portable compact disc player was stolen from Quaker Manufacturing, 207 N. Four Mile Run Road.
Breaking and entering: A weed trimmer was stolen from a shed at a home in the 500 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Vandalism: Air was let out of the tires of a vehicle at Joseph Knight Towers, 107 Westchester Drive.
Breaking and entering: About 2,000 feet of cable was stolen from Robbins Co., 3805 Henricks Road.
Breaking and entering: There was a break-in at Bezac Equipment, 3721 Mahoning Ave. A list of stolen property was being put together by the company.
Vehicle theft: A 1994 red Toyota pickup was stolen from Get-Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Medication was taken from an apartment in the 100 block of Westchester Drive.
April 6
Theft: Tools were stolen from a truck in the south lot in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
Theft: Invalid travelers' checks were used to buy an item at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
Fraud: At the Voodoo Lounge, 4740 Mahoning Ave., $4,500 was paid for a painted that was not completed.
Theft: Checks were stolen from a victim at a residence in the 100 block of East Main Street.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched at a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard.
Theft: Someone stole a wallet from the TA Travel Center.
April 7
Attempted theft: Someone tried to take items from a vehicle parked at Fred Martin Ford, 4701 Mahoning Ave. Police pursued a person into Girard, but made no arrest.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was broken at a home in the 3000 block of Staatz Drive.
Theft: Camera film was stolen from Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Tools and a car stereo were stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Cedarwood Drive.
April 8
Drug offense: Police charged a Niles man and woman with possession of drug paraphernalia after their arrest at Seventy-Six Drive and state Route 46.
Theft: Two iPods were taken from a vehicle at Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave. One was recovered in Solon, Pa.
Drug offense: Police charged a Youngstown man with drug abuse of marijuana after his arrest at Mahoning and Lexington avenues.
Criminal damaging: A metal screen door was damaged at a home in the 600 block of North Four Mile Run Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle window and a house window were damaged in the 4000 block of Lanterman Road.
Theft: Customers walked out without paying a food bill at Denny's Restaurant, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An undisclosed amount of coins was taken from an auto parked in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: A Massachusetts rear license plate was stolen from an auto at parked a residence in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.
Breaking and entering: A shed was broken into in the 500 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Criminal damaging: A machine was damaged and candy taken from a vending machine at Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive.
Theft: An undetermined amount of money was taken from a home in the 400 block of Shadow Oak Drive.
