NBA ROUNDUP \ Sunday's games
Pistons 98, Pacers 73
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Tayshaun Prince scored all of his 17 points in the second half to lead six double-digit scorers for Detroit (62-15), which is a victory away from matching its franchise record for wins and barring a late slide, will likely finish with the NBA's best record. Indiana has lost seven of eight to fall a season-worst four-games under .500 and is in danger of not making the playoffs. Detroit's Lindsey Hunter (14), Tony Delk (11) and Antonio McDyess (10) provided a scoring boost off the bench. Richard Hamilton scored 12 and Chauncey Billups had 11 points and five assists scoring. Ben Wallace had a season-high 22 rebounds. Stephen Jackson led the Pacers with 15 points on 4-of-12 shooting, Jermaine O'Neal had 12 and Peja Stojakovic added 11.
Nets 95, Bucks 83
MILWAUKEE -- Vince Carter scored 25 points and Jason Kidd had a triple-double to lead New Jersey in a potential first round playoff preview. It was the Nets' third straight victory over the Bucks, who haven't beaten New Jersey since November. Kidd had 11 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the 75th triple-double of his career and eighth of the season. T.J. Ford didn't start but had 19 points to lead the Bucks.
Timberwolves 84, Hawks 83
MINNEAPOLIS -- Trenton Hassell made a short jumper with 1.9 seconds to play for Minnesota, which was playing without Kevin Garnett and Ricky Davis. Rashad McCants scored a career-high 28 points for Minnesota and Mark Blount added 17. Garnett sat out with tendinitis in his right knee, snapping his NBA-leading streak of 351 games started, and Davis was out with a sore groin. Josh Smith, Al Harrington and Joe Johnson each had 14 points for the Hawks. But Atlanta struggled mightily from the floor, making 30 of 77 field goal attempts. The Hawks entered the game seventh in the league in 3-point percentage (.375), but went only 1-for-13 from behind the arc.
Bobcats 94, Raptors 88
TORONTO -- Brevin Knight had 19 points and 10 assists, and Charlotte snapped a seven-game road losing streak. Jumaine Jones had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Gerald Wallace had 11 points and 14 boards as the Bobcats had four players with double-doubles. Raymond Felton had 10 points and 12 assists while Primoz Brezec, with 17 points and eight rebounds, was the only starter not to earn a double-double. Mike James scored 32 points for the Raptors, who have lost eight in a row. Matt Bonner scored 14 points while little-used Loren Woods added 10.
Knicks 101, Celtics 86
BOSTON -- Jamal Crawford scored 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead New York. The victory was the Knicks' third straight, just their second three game-winning streak this season. The other came when they won six in a row in early January. Nate Robinson finished with 12 points for the Knicks, who outscored the Celtics 31-10 in the fourth quarter. Jackie Butler added 10 points. Paul Pierce led Boston with 19 points, but scored just one point in the final quarter. Tony Allen had 18 points, Kendrick Perkins 17 and Gerald Green 14, including a pair of flying baseline dunks.
Magic 93, Heat 84
MIAMI -- Jameer Nelson scored 26 points and Orlando won for the eighth time in nine games. Dwight Howard had 16 points and Hedo Turkoglu added 14 for Orlando. The Heat -- who've now dropped two straight at home for the first time this season and six of their last 11 overall -- got 27 points from Dwyane Wade and 16 points and nine rebounds from Shaquille O'Neal.
Spurs 83, Grizzlies 81
SAN ANTONIO -- Pau Gasol missed a potential game-tying layup over Tim Duncan with 5.9 seconds remaining. Duncan had 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Spurs and Tony Parker scored 19 points.
