Program targets collecting old tires



WARREN -- The Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste Management District has awarded $58,632 to cities, townships and villages in Trumbull County for scrap-tire collection programs.
The purpose of the program is to assist all of the 56 political subdivisions within the district so that they can start scrap tire collections in their communities, such as one-day collection programs, curbside collection or illegal dumped roadside cleanups.
Granted funds in Trumbull County are:
Cities of Cortland, Girard, Hubbard, Newton Falls, Niles and Warren.
Villages of McDonald and West Farmington.
Townships of Bazetta, Bloomfield, Braceville, Bristol, Brookfield, Farmington, Fowler, Greene, Gustavus, Hartford, Howland, Hubbard, Johnston, Liberty, Mecca, Mesopotamia, Newton, Southington, Vienna, Warren and Weathersfield.
