'Woman of the Year' is honored by Mill Creek Chapter at dinner



CANFIELD -- Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women's Association honored Kelley Kurtz as its 2006 "Woman of the Year" March 14 at A La Cart Catering.
Since joining the organization in March 2000, Kurtz has served as president and vice president, has chaired the nominating committee and has served on numerous other committees.
She is the chairwoman of the banquet committee, and this fall will be a voting representative of the chapter at the 64th national conference to be held in Anaheim, Calif.
Kurtz attended Penn Ohio Junior College and has been employed in the payroll department of The Vindicator for the past 20 years.
She is a volunteer for Special Olympics and the Diabetes Walk and a member of Rockview Christian Church, where she is an elder and director of the missions committee. She and her husband, Larry, live in Austintown.
ABWA is a national organization dedicated to bringing businesswomen of diverse occupations together to grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.
