A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard and Liberty:
GIRARD
April 2
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 30 block of Cheyenne Drive found her vehicle's windshield smashed.
Criminal damaging: Someone likely used a baseball bat to shatter a car's windshield and break both of the outside mirrors in the 20 block of Cheyenne Drive.
April 3
Drugs: Authorities arrested a 25-year-old Warren woman near West Liberty Street and charged her with possession of drug-abuse instruments. A suspected crack pipe was in her vehicle, police said.
Theft: A man in the 1100 block of North Ward Avenue reported a stereo/compact-disc player was removed from his car.
Theft: Officers arrested a Youngstown man, 28, on a theft charge. He was accused of concealing five packs of steaks under his coat at Santisi's IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St.
April 5
Theft: A Stambaugh Avenue woman accused her former boyfriend, 22, of taking $60 from her residence as well as $440 a few days earlier.
LIBERTY
March 29
Forgery: A Girard man discovered two of his checks had been forged and cashed at Key Bank, 3198 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A man, 30 to 35, tried to steal razor blades from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2704 Belmont Ave., before fleeing.
Theft: Someone reported $90 missing from a teacher who attended a fund-raiser at W.S. Guy Middle School, 4115 Shady Road.
Criminal damaging: A Poland man discovered his vehicle's door frame damaged while he was in the 1600 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road. Damage was estimated at $300.
Theft: A customer stole about $200 worth of hair clippers from Sally Beauty Supply, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Breaking and entering: A Craig Street woman returned to her residence and discovered a shed had been broken into. Stolen were a toolbox, a cross bow and costume jewelry.
March 30
Theft: A man reported five property markers were removed from a lot he owns at the end of Lucretia Drive.
Assault/aggravated menacing: An employee at First American Cash Advance, 3950 Belmont Ave., alleged a Youngstown woman, 28, grabbed her shirt and threatened to kill her.
Aggravated menacing: An employee at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., told officers a co-worker threatened to cut her with box cutters on two occasions.
March 31
Arrest: While responding to a report of a reckless driver near state Route 304, officers apprehended a Youngstown man, 19, after learning he was wanted on a felony warrant from Austintown. The original charge was receiving stolen property.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A man in the 200 block of East Montrose Street said an 18-year-old man borrowed the victim's van to make deliveries but failed to return it.
Drugs: Police took a 34-year-old McDonald woman into custody after pulling over her vehicle near Gypsy Lane. Charges against the woman were drug abuse (crack cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers say they found a rock of suspected crack cocaine and a suspected crack pipe.
Arrest: Police turned a 48-year-old Youngstown man over to Hubbard authorities after stopping his car near Fifth Avenue and Colonial Drive. The man was wanted on a warrant from Hubbard charging him with passing bad checks.
April 1
Domestic violence: Officers arrested a 17-year-old girl at her Roosevelt Drive residence on a domestic-violence charge. The girl's mother alleged her daughter pushed her and threatened her with a can of chemical repellant during a counseling appointment.
Assault: A Green Acres Drive boy reported another boy, 12, fought with him and allowed a dog to tear the victim's pant leg. The boy had minor injuries.
April 2
Breaking and entering: A woman in the 1000 block of Powers Avenue discovered a window screen had been removed and that forced entry was made into a closet.
Theft: A woman in the 2100 block of Arms Drive found several personal checks scattered on her street after someone apparently took them from her mailbox.
