Part-time jobs available to McDonald grads
McDONALD -- Officials are taking applications to fill eight to 10 part-time summer positions, Mayor James Border announced.
The work is available to those graduating in June from McDonald High School and who are planning to attend college, Border said, adding that work will include cleaning up parks, supervising children and performing other community activities.
Applications need to be sent to McDonald Village Hall, 451 Ohio Ave., McDonald 44437 no later than April 30, Border added.
In other business, a spring cleanup day has been set for April 26 to allow residents to get rid of certain large items.
Village Administrator Thomas Domitrovich said people will have an opportunity to throw away mattresses, hot water tanks, appliances with the freon removed and other items not collected during normal weekly trash pickups.
Paint and other hazardous materials will not be picked up, Domitrovich said, and anyone with questions can call village hall at (330) 530-5472.
