MAHONING COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ALSO TOOK THE FOLLOWING ACTION THURSDAY:
Mahoning County commissioners also took the following action Thursday:
Approved a resolution in support of issuing new revenue bonds through Lorain County for Catholic Healthcare Partners, whose members include Humility of Mary Health Partners and its local facilities, namely St. Elizabeth Health Center. A public hearing on the bond issue preceded the commissioners' meeting, with no opposition voiced. CHP seeks bonds of up to $450 million for what its representatives described as routine capital and equipment upgrades at a number of facilities. The county will not be liable for repayment of bonds.
Authorized purchasing director James Fortunato to advertise the sale of surplus equipment by public auction at 6 p.m. May 11 at the county sanitary engineering department on Industrial Road. George Roman will serve as auctioneer. The auction will include county-owned vehicles, equipment and scrap that have become obsolete, Fortunato said.
Changed next week's meeting to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Senior Community Center, 1110 Fifth Ave.
