Drug charges go to grand jury

STRUTHERS -- Felony charges against a Poland Township man who police said had drugs in his home have been bound over to a Mahoning County grand jury.
Robert Zelinka, 56, of Center Road appeared Friday before Judge James Lanzo of Struthers Municipal Court. Three felony drug possession charges were bound over. Zelinka pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charge, and sentencing was set for May 5.
Based on complaints of drug activity, members of the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force and Poland Township police obtained a search warrant for Zelinka's home.
When police searched the house last month, they said they found drug paraphernalia, suspected crack cocaine, powdered cocaine, OxyContin pills and other controlled substances.
Two other people found at the house during the search also were charged.
Martin McCambridge, 47, of Petersburg, was charged with felony drug abuse. His case has been bound over to a grand jury. McCambridge remains in the Mahoning County Jail on a separate DUI charge from 2004. His court date on that charge is set for August.
Dorothy Lawrence, 48, of Struthers, pleaded innocent Friday to a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. She is to return to court in August.
