AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS | For college students
Salem Quota Club: The annual "Mona McArtor Quota Award" is being offered this year in the amount of $500. Applicants must be enrolled or enrolling in an accredited college or university to major in audiology, speech pathology or deaf education. The scholarship is open only to graduates of Salem, Lisbon, South Range, United Local, West Branch, Leetonia or Columbiana schools. Applications are available in the guidance offices of those schools and must be filed by April 22.
Thomas "Bear" Mangino Memorial Foundation: The foundation is offering its 18th annual scholastic scholarship of $1,000 to be awarded to a Lawrence County resident who will be attending a four-year college or university. The scholarship is named in memory of Mangino, a lifelong county resident who was executive director of Beaver County Children and Youth Services and a part-time instructor at Pennsylvania State University. Applications are available at all county high school guidance offices and must be filed by April 28.
