May wedding date by Leigh Ellis and Eric Thorpe

Announced by Mrs. Dorothy Ellis, 4624 Aspen Drive, Austintown, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thorpe, 9555 Struthers Road, New Middletown, is the engagement of their children, Leigh Ann Ellis, also of 4624 Aspen Drive, and Eric William Thorpe of 4451 Aspen Drive.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in entertainment relations, Miss Ellis is a community-involvement coordinator with Wal-Mart Department Stores Inc., Austintown.
Mr. Thorpe, the executive assistant manager with Walgreens Pharmacy in Warren, graduated from YSU with a bachelor's degree in marketing management.
The couple have planned an open wedding for 3 p.m. May 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Austintown. Their evening reception will be held by invitation at Das Dutch Village Inn, Columbiana.
