Fitch tops Boardman

BOARDMAN -- Fitch High school rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh inning as it posted a 7-5 victory over Boardman Wednesday in a Federal League baseball game at the Spartans' field.
The Falcons (3-1, 1-0 FL) were sparked by Mike Rose, who hit two singles, scored once and drove in two runs. Mike Dota hit a double and single and scored once.
Jason Lutz (1-0), came on in relief in the sixth and pitched a scoreless seventh inning to pick up the win.
The Spartans, who outhit the Falcons 13-9, were led by Armani Johnson who hit a double, single, drove in three runs and scored once. Ed DeLuca hit a double and single and scored twice, while Joe Iacobucci hit a pair of singles.
