MINERAL RIDGE -- The engagement of April Michelle Wade, 118 Weathersfield Drive, Durham, N.C., and Daniel Frank Berndt, 4629 Hope Valley Road, Durham, is announced by the parents of the future groom, Lou and Evelyn Berndt, 1933 Beaver Trail.
Mack and Pam Wade of Wilmington, N.C., are parents of the bride-elect.
The couple will issue invitations for their May 6 wedding to be held in Wilmington.
