Bianco's 7th-inning hit caps Niles' 5-run rally



Struthers rallied with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Salem.
NILES -- Brian Bianco's single scored Robbie Porter with the game-winning run as the Niles High baseball team rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Poland, 6-5, at Waddell Park.
Sean Cleary's three hits included a double and drove in three runs for the Red Dragons (6-1, 1-0 Metro Athletic Conference). Mike Kelly also doubled.
Anthony Ragozine (2-0) relieved Kyle Pitts in the sixth inning to pick up the win.
Dave White had two of the Bulldogs' six hits and drove in two runs.
Struthers 8, Salem 7
STRUTHERS -- The Wildcats rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning at Cene Park for their first win. Tristan Suchora's leadoff single was followed by two walks to load the bases.
After Mike Barone's sacrifice fly reduced Salem's lead to 7-5, Adam Wiley hit a two-run single to tie the game. An error allowed the winning run to score for the Wildcats (1-5, 1-1 MAC).
Steve Streb's three hits included a double. Suchora, Mike Duponty and Mike Barone each had two hits.
For the Quakers (4-1, 1-1), Jarin Heath and Marcus Grimm had two hits apiece. Grimm, Josh Dankovich, Ben Miller and Tim Colian doubled.
Lowellville 3, McDonald 2
MCDONALD -- Lowellville scored solo runs in three innings to take a 3-0 lead into the last of the sixth inning.
McDonald (3-2, 1-1 Inter-County League) scored a run in the sixth and one in the last of the seventh to cut into the deficit.
John Opincarne (2-0) struck out 14 in five innings of work for the Rockets (3-2, 1-1).
Sebring 10, Jackson-Milton 5
SEBRING -- Senior Jon Springer went 3-for-5 for five RBIs and Chuck Quinn was 3-for-4 with one RBI for the Trojans (3-2, 1-1 ICL).
Zach Tieche, a sophomore, singled but also scored five runs as the leadoff hitter walked three times and was hit by a pitch once.
Lakeview 15, LaBrae 14
LEAVITTSBURG -- Jeff Musick went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Bulldogs (3-4, 1-1 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
Lakeview held leads of 4-2 after one inning and 13-10 after three.
In a 15-hit attack by the Bulldogs, Jon Mullins, Justin Williams and Jon Biehl each had two hits.
Mooney 9, Warren JFK 7
WARREN -- A four-run fifth inning powered Mooney past JFK (3-2, 0-1 Steel Valley Conference).
For JFK, Marc Rossi had two doubles, junior Scott Difford had two singles and John Baker, a senior, had two singles. Rossi, a senior, finished with three RBIs.

WARREN -- Pitcher David Patrick had eight strikeouts in six innings to lead the Irish, who took an 8-3 lead in the top of the seventh before the game was suspended due to darkness. The game will be finished before a non-conference matchup at Cene Park on April 26. Tom Popadak had six strikeouts for the Raiders.
