DULUTH, Ga. -- Phil Mickelson completed a wire-to-wire victory, closing with a 7-under 65 for a 28-under 260 total and a 13-stroke victory. Mickelson capped his round with an eagle putt on 18, his second eagle of the day. Mickelson matched the course record with an opening 63 Thursday and was 5 under or better every day while winning his second straight BellSouth title. He also won the 2000 event. Jose Maria Olazabal (69) and Zach Johnson (70) tied for second.
Blue Agave Golf Classic
PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico -- Morris Hatalsky won his first Champions Tour title in nearly three years, closing with a 2-under 70 for a one-stroke victory over Scott Simpson. Hatalsky had a 9-under 207 total on the Vista Vallarta Golf Club course. Simpson also shot a 70. Mike Reid (70) and Gil Morgan (71) tied for third at 7 under.
Livermore Valley WineCountry Championship
LIVERMORE, Calif. -- Tripp Isenhour moved within a victory of an automatic promotion to the PGA Tour, closing with a 4-under 68 to finish at 9-under 279 on The Course at Wente Vineyards. Paul Sheehan (71) finished second, three strokes back. Isenhour earned $108,000 to take the money lead with $218,221, which should be enough to keep him in the top 20 through the end of the year. The final top 20 players on the money list will earn 2007 PGA Tour cards.
Algarve Open
PORTIMAO, Portugal -- Paul Broadhurst successfully defended his title, birdieing the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Anthony Wall. Broadhurst shot a 5-under 67 for a 17-under 271 total. Wall also closed with a 67.
