PREP VOLLEYBALL Crestview's streak hits 16



The Rebels defeated East Palestine to climb to 10-0 in the Tri-County League.
NEW WATERFORD -- The Crestview High volleyball team continued its undefeated streak Thursday by posting a 25-8, 27-25, 25-20 victory over East Palestine in a Tri-County League match.
Tricia Richards sparked the Rebels (16-0, 10-0) with 17 kills, seven blocks, eight digs and four points.
Kristen Harroff added 16 points, 15 digs, seven kills, two aces and two blocks. Michelle Parks had 10 blocks, six kills, two aces and seven points. Elyse Mongillo scored 10 points, with two aces, 10 digs and 40 assists.
Jenn Yokley scored seven points and made 12 digs, 10 kills and two blocks for the Bulldogs (8-8, 4-6). Adyson Mascher had 10 points, 24 assists and four blocks. Sarah Stewart had nine points, six kills and four blocks.

LEETONIA -- Samantha Miller scored 13 points with nine aces and made 12 assists for the Bears (2-10, 2-8 TCL).
Emily Goerig made 18 digs and five kills while Tina Lamb added 12 points and Sarah Weikart had seven kills and five blocks.
Whitney Puckett paced the Indians (1-14, 0-10) with 43 sets. Laura Van Dyne had five kills and three blocks.
Tosha Cunningham scored five points.

HUBBARD -- Lauren Ferguson scored 12 points with three aces to spark the Eagles (14-2, 9-1) in the Trumbull Athletic Conference match.
Brittany Lange made 11 kills and five blocks for the Eagles, who are rated 10th in this week's Division II state poll. Corrie Gasser finished with 22 assists and 10 digs and Callie Oyler had 10 kills, three aces and 11 points.
Maddie D'Orio led the Vikings (10-6, 5-5) with 10 points, five blocks, 11 digs and three aces. Lia Gordon and Stepfanie Higgins each had seven kills.

CHAMPION -- Chelsea Morrison scored 26 points with 14 aces for the Indians (13-3, 9-1 TAC). Aysha Nickels made 29 assists while Courtney Madden made 14 kills.
For the Golden Flashes (0-12, 0-10), Katey Gelet scored three points and made two blocks, Chentel Greathouse made seven assists and Amber Ackerman made three kills and two digs.

BROOKFIELD -- Lindsey Whetzel scored 19 points and made nine digs and two blocks for the Bulldogs (15-2, 8-2 TAC). Lauren McCumber had 13 points and five blocks while Michelle Antonelli made 43 assists and 13 digs.
For the Warriors (6-9, 4-5), Taralee Williams made 45 assists while Courtney Christy had 11 kills, nine digs and 11 points. Andrea Gladis had 14 kills, six digs, four blocks and four points.
Morgan Bonekovic made 20 kills and 16 digs.

NEWTON FALLS -- Senior middle hitter Chelsea O'Donnell had 20 points and 13 kills while sophomore setter Jessie Szackas had 15 assists.
Junior setter Emily Hall had 14 assists while junior outside hitter Jessie Knez made nine kills for Liberty (7-7, 4-4 TAC).
Junior setter Brandi Lance had 14 assists, freshman outside hitter Ashley Walker had 18 digs and junior outside hitter Sasha McGregor had five kills for Newton Falls (2-10, 1-9).

VIENNA -- Jenna Manz made 35 assists ands scored 11 points with three aces for the first-place Mustangs (11-1, 0-1 Northeastern Athletic Conference).
Jordan Hardval scored 16 points with six aces and made seven digs. Sophie Paddock made nine kills and scored nine points.
For the Wildcats (1-12, 0-10), Courtney Gania scored two points and made four assists. Jeannette Silvernail scored two points with aces. 1-12, 0-10.

LORDSTOWN -- Megan Gibson nine blocks, 22 points and three aces to lead Lordstown (8-4, 6-6 NEC) while Amanda Wickline contributed 10 kills.
Ashley Kellar made seven digs and Alisha Miller made 23 assists.
