"Movies 101" (10:30 p.m., AMC): In this new interview series, New York University professor Richard Brown chats it up with Hollywood luminaries and offers frank discussions on the state of feature films. First up in tonight's opener is actor Willem Dafoe.
"Ghost Whisperer" (8 p.m., CBS): The success of NBC's "Medium" last season seems to have made this new drama series all but inevitable. Jennifer Love Hewitt stars as a woman who can communicate with the dead and apparently helps them talk through their problems.
"Inconceivable" (10 p.m., NBC): With fertility problems a painful subject for some couples, it will be interesting to see how this drama series set in a fertility clinic will fare. Jonathan Cake and Ming-Na star as medical partners.
"Malcolm in the Middle" (8:30 p.m., Fox): In the seventh season opener, guest Rosanna Arquette plays an earthy healer who wows Malcolm at a gathering of free spirits in the desert.
