Sept. 23
Criminal damaging: A woman reported someone used a key to damage her son's vehicle at a plaza on West Liberty Street.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 300 block of East Park Avenue discovered damage to her front door.
Auto theft: A woman in the 500 block of West Liberty Street reported the theft of her car.
Sept. 24
Breaking and entering: Officers arrested three juveniles, no ages given, after responding to an alarm at the U.S. Can Co., 644 Myron St., and saying the three were on the premises.
Sept. 26
Aggravated robbery: An employee at Dollar General, 886 W. Liberty St., told police a man and a woman stole merchandise, then fled in a white compact car.
Theft: A customer left a Shell station, 204 W. Liberty St., and failed to pay for gasoline.
Sept. 27
Possible breaking and entering: A woman told police a neighbor informed her someone had removed furniture from her East Park Avenue residence.
Sept. 28
Criminal mischief: A man discovered graffiti painted on the rear of Golden Glow Tanning, 15 N. Main St.

Sept. 21
Criminal damaging/menacing: A Craig Lane woman told police a Youngstown woman, 45, called her several times before kicking and damaging a door at the victim's residence. A flower bed also was damaged.
Theft: A man reported five cast-iron catch basin grates missing from a construction site near Gypsy Lane and the state Route 711 connector.
Breaking and entering: An employee at an office complex in the 3600 block of Belmont Avenue noticed someone entered an office while workers were on their lunch break. A $266.56 insurance check and $60 were taken.

Theft: A girl, 11, reported her 20-inch bicycle stolen from a carport near her home in the 10 block of Holly Drive.
Theft: A Youngstown woman reported the theft of her purse in the Giant Eagle parking lot, 4700 Belmont Ave.
Drugs: A 57-year-old Youngstown man was charged with felony drug abuse as well as abuse of harmful intoxicants, a misdemeanor, after an incident at the American Inn, 1600 Motor Inn Drive.
Arrest: While conducting an investigation at the VIP Health Spa, 1615 Amhurst Drive, officers arrested a 61-year-old Youngstown man on 19 misdemeanor counts including prostitution, solicitation and engaging in prohibited activities.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a man, 28, at his Northgate Avenue residence on a charge of domestic violence. The suspect's girlfriend alleged he struck her during an altercation. She had cuts above her left eye and inside her upper lip.
Vehicle theft: A Girard woman reported her 1991 Chevy Astrovan stolen while she was at a residence in the 10 block of Trumbull Court.
Sept. 23
Burglary: A man in the 50 block of Trumbull Court reported that someone used a set of keys to enter his apartment, and that a man, 36, used and failed to return the victim's car. Two Sony PlayStation game systems, a video recorder and two speakers were missing.
Breaking and entering: An employee at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., called police after someone entered a room through a window and took a 25-inch TV.
Assault: A student at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, reported a boy, 14, punched him on the right side of his face, causing him to fall, as the victim got off a school bus. The boy had swelling and a small cut near his right eye.
Domestic violence: A 21-year-old Youngstown man was taken into custody at the Tallyho-tel on a domestic-violence charge after his mother alleged he grabbed her during an argument. The woman had red marks on her left arm, and the man also was charged with violating a protection order.
Sept. 24
Theft: A man in the 1100 block of Timbercrest Street found that $4,000 had been removed from a safe.
Assault: Police arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown woman on an assault charge after a worker at Choices Niteclub, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, alleged she became angry and scratched the back of his neck when he asked for identification. The victim had three cuts in the area.
Sept. 25
Theft/aggravated menacing: A Youngstown man told officers a man driving behind him waved a semiautomatic handgun in the air. When the victim drove to Liberty Mini Mart, 3007 Belmont Ave., the perpetrator took a cellular phone and two speakers from the victim's car.
Auto theft: A Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, woman reported her 1997 Nissan stolen from the Knights Inn, 1600 Motor Inn Drive.
Possible identity theft: A woman in the 1300 block of Virginia Trail told police the Social Security Administration notified her that her daughter, 15, had received $20,300 worth of benefits. The woman said, however, she was suspicious of that figure.
Burglary: A man in the 200 block of Colonial Drive discovered someone pushed aside a screen and entered his apartment through a window. Stolen were a videocassette recorder/DVD player, various coins, 60 $2 bills and a set of hair clippers, for an estimated loss of $350.
Sept. 26
Burglary: A woman told officers someone entered her home in the 2400 block of Fifth Avenue through a rear door and took her purse and six credit cards.
Theft: A Girard woman returned to her vehicle in the 3000 block of Belmont Avenue to discover a passenger-side window broken and a comforter stolen.
Theft: An employee at Denny's Restaurant, 4020 Belmont Ave., called police after finding that a register was $70 short.
Theft: The Mahoning County Sheriff's Department turned over a 25-year-old Warren man to Liberty authorities. He was wanted on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a theft charge.
Arrest: Canfield police held a Niles woman, 44, wanted on a warrant from Liberty charging her with failure to appear on one count of possession of drug-abuse instruments.
Domestic violence: While investigating an unruly juvenile at a Murray Hill Drive home, police arrested a man, 38, and a boy, 15, on charges of domestic violence. The boy alleged his father head-butted him and struck him in the groin area during an argument; the father alleged his son punched him and tried to hit him.
