Ohio to replace Super Lotto Plus

CLEVELAND -- The Ohio super lottery will soon be no more, replaced by the Ohio Lottery's newest game, Lot 'O Play.
The new game offers players 12 chances to win in a bingo-style format.
The $2 tickets go on sale Oct. 9. Drawings will be on Wednesday and Saturday. The first drawing in the new game will be Oct. 16.
The game replaces Super Lotto Plus, which ends Oct. 8.
Lottery officials said the new game's jackpots will begin at $1 million and increase $100,000 each time the jackpot is not hit. The jackpot is an annuity prize paid over 26 years in annual installments of approximately $38,842 a year; winners can choose the cash option equivalent, which would be 50 percent of the advertised lotto jackpot, lottery officials said.
The tickets will also have an instant win feature, with a $10 instant win prize for every 100 tickets sold.
In the new game, players choose five numbers from 00 to 99. Those numbers will appear across the first line of the wager. Other numbers will be chosen at random, giving players 25 numbers. Players will also have the option of auto lotto, which allows the lotto terminal to pick all of the numbers. Players win the jackpot by matching numbers in any one of the five rows, five columns or either diagonal.
Other cash prizes will be awarded for other ticket combinations of two-, three- or four-number matches.
