Inmate abuse case
Eight former employees of the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department were convicted of violating the rights of inmates at the jail. The sentencings are as follows:
Michael Budd, 97 months. He is at the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City awaiting transfer to his designated prison. His projected release is Aug. 4, 2012.
Raymond Hull, 15 months. He is at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. His projected release is July 11, 2006.
Mark Dixon, 22 months. He is at the Federal Correctional Institution in Butner, N.C. His projected release is Feb. 13, 2007.
John Rivera, 18 months. He is at the Federal Prison Camp in Montgomery, Ala., located on Maxwell Air Force Base. His projected release is Oct. 13, 2006.
Ryan Strange, 21 months. Same. His projected release is Dec. 30, 2006.
Bill Deluca, 16 months. He is awaiting placement.
Ronald Denson, 18 months. Same.
Ronald Kaschak will be sentenced next week.
