PREP VOLLEYBALL Poland records 5-game victory



The Bulldogs beat East Palestine in the tie-breaker, 15-12.
POLAND -- Doni Muransky scored five points and made 14 digs, 11 blocks and 22 kills as the Poland High volleyball team defeated East Palestine in five games.
Ashley Conger scored 15 points and made 19 assists, 12 digs and 16 kills as Poland won by scores of 25-20, 21-25, 23-25, 25-20 and 15-12.
Lindsay Delsignore scored 12 points with two aces and made eight digs for the Bulldogs (5-7).
For East Palestine (8-6), Jenn Yokey had 12 kills, 20 points and 30 digs while Renee Torrence made 11 kills, 21 points and 18 digs.
Howland 25-25-25,Liberty 22-17-19
HOWLAND -- Brittany Kelly collected 10 points, two aces, 12 kills and 21 aces for the Tigers (10-3).
Taylor Summerfield had three points, two aces, eight kills, eight assists and five digs. Katlyn Flick added three points, seven kills, four assists, three blocks and nine digs.
For the Leopards (6-6), Chelsea O'Donnel produced nine points, two aces, eight kills, a block and six digs while Jessie Knez contributed 10 points, four kills and three digs.
Megan Kay had eight points and two blocks for Liberty.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Antaya James scored 22 points and made 17 kills and seven digs for the Cowgirls (9-4). Breonna Rivers scored four aces, Jasmyn Hopkins made 13 blocks and Jacquela Teamor made 15 assists.
For Lowellville (2-9), Rebecca Sturgiss scored six points while Rachel Mariotti and Samantha DeBlasio scored five aces each.
Ali Grapevine and Jackie Seanadek each made 10 kills and Grapevine had six blocks. Carmelo Ballone made six digs and Marie Notareschi had 22 assists.

CHAMPION -- Sara Infante collected 12 points and four blocks while Christien Mickel added 18 assists for Niles (3-10).
Karla Dung had eight kills and Amanda Binion and Laura Ruberto each had five digs for Niles.
Leading Champion (0-10) was Jackie Knepp with 12 points. Chentel Greathouse had 22 assists and Amber Ackerman had four digs.

VIENNA -- Marysa Burchette scored 13 points with six aces and made four blocks and 21 kills as the Panthers upset the undefeated Mustangs.
Ashley Schreckengost made four blocks, 12 digs and 13 kills for Bristol (6-4, 4-2 Northeastern Athletic Conference). Heather Lodwick made 13 assists.
Fo Mathews (9-1, 7-1), Sophie Paddock made 19 kills, 11 blocks, 10 digs and 13 points. Jenna Manz had 33 assists, six digs and 11 points while Karen Pilati scored 22 points with four aces and made eight digs.

MECCA -- Lauren Simmons scored 11 points with five aces and made 10 assists for the Rockets (8-1, 7-1 NAC).
Brandi Dickerson made eight kills while Jamie Rumple made six digs.
For the Braves (1-9, 1-6), Allyson Palmer scored five points and made 11 assists. Allison Burr made four kills and Shannon Battison made three digs.

ANDOVER -- Ashley Gibbs led the Red Devils (7-3, 5-2 NAC) with18 points, three aces and10 digs. Ashley Keller scored 10 points with two aces while Megan Gibson had four blocks, four assists and eight kills.
